Privacy

The short version

This website sets no cookies of its own, uses no analytics or tracking tools and embeds no content from other providers, with one exception: the feedback form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to keep out spam. Fonts and images are served from the same server as the page. Personal data is only processed because a server has to answer your request, when you send us an email and when you use the feedback form.

Hosting and server logs

This website is served by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you open a page, Cloudflare processes the data technically needed to deliver it:

This is used to deliver the website and to protect it against attacks and abuse. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is secure and stable operation. For this purpose Cloudflare may, in individual cases, set a strictly necessary security cookie.

These logs are created by Cloudflare, not by us. We have no access to them and do not evaluate them. Cloudflare stores them only as long as needed for the purposes named above and deletes them afterwards. All we see in our Cloudflare account is a statistic, such as the number of visits. It does not allow any conclusions about individual people.

We have a data processing agreement with Cloudflare. Data may be transferred to the USA. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which is covered by an adequacy decision of the European Commission (Art. 45 GDPR). More information: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy

Contact by email

If you write to us, we only use your details to answer your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where a contract is concerned, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Messages reach us in a mailbox at Gmail, a service of Google Ireland Limited. We delete messages once the request is settled, unless legal retention obligations apply.

Feedback form

If you send us a message through the feedback form, Cloudflare forwards it as an email to the Gmail mailbox named above, together with the version of the game and the language of the page. We do not store it anywhere else. No name or email address is needed; if you add contact details to your message, we only use them to reply. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is improving the game based on your feedback. We delete messages once we no longer need them for developing the game.

To keep out spam, the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, a service of Cloudflare, Inc. (address above). While the form is open, Turnstile checks in your browser whether a person is using it. For this it processes technical data such as your IP address, information about your browser and the address of the page, and may set a strictly necessary cookie. The data is used only to tell people and bots apart and to improve that detection, not for advertising or tracking. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is protecting the form against automated abuse. Accessing information in your browser is strictly necessary for the form you requested (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). The data processing agreement and the Data Privacy Framework mentioned above apply. The Steam button is an ordinary link. You only leave this website when you click it. From then on, the privacy policy of Valve Corporation applies.

Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing (Art. 21). An informal email to the address above is enough. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR).
